ParentGlow is an independent app, built in the UK, for the everyday reality of raising children across two homes — the calendar, the handovers, the money, the records — in one calm place.
Why we built it
Most co-parenting apps were built abroad, priced per parent, and feel like legal software — clinical, combative, and quick to treat you like a case rather than a family. UK parents got a US product with a British spelling check: no child arrangements, no contact time, no NHS numbers, no £.
Separation is hard enough. The tools around it should lower the temperature, not raise it — and they should be built for how UK family life actually works. So we started building the one we wished existed: warm, fair, UK-first, and on the side of the children at the centre of it all.
Why this is personal
It started close to home.
ParentGlow didn't start in a boardroom. It started with a belief I've carried a long time: every child deserves a happy childhood — and the surest way to protect it is for parents to keep the kids first, even when they're no longer together.
I grew up in a home shaped by control and conflict. What I remember just as clearly is a mother who made sure my siblings and I still had a happy childhood anyway. That contrast — how much one parent's choices can shape, or shield, a child — never left me.
Years later, as the partner of a parent raising a child across two homes, I've seen the same thing from the other side: how a single tense handover can sour a whole week, how fast it can escalate toward solicitors and court, and how much weight the person doing the right thing ends up carrying.
So I started building the calm, fair tool I wished existed — UK-built, your data always yours, no per-parent tax, everything designed to take the heat out of co-parenting instead of stoking it. We build for the children first. Everything else follows from that.

I'm Joe — an independent developer in the UK, building ParentGlow on my own. Not a faceless corporation, not a venture-backed machine optimising you into a funnel. It's a small, deliberate project, built carefully and answered personally. Email and you'll hear back from me.
