Privacy policy
Last updated 14 June 2026
ParentGlow is built for separated families, so we take your privacy seriously — it's the whole point. This policy explains, in plain English, what we collect, why, and the control you have. We never sell your data, and exporting your family's records is always free.
1. Who we are
ParentGlow is an independent app being built in the United Kingdom by a solo founder working as a sole trader. We are the “data controller” for the information described here. For anything in this policy, contact us at hello@parentglow.co.uk.
2. What we collect
ParentGlow is in pre-launch early access. Right now we only collect:
- Your email address, when you join the early-access list, plus anything you choose to write in a message to us.
- Basic technical data that any website receives — your browser type, approximate region and the pages you visit — from standard server and hosting logs. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics that identify you as an individual.
3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To contact you about early access — on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing or emailing us.
- To reply to you when you get in touch — on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering you.
- To keep the site secure and working — on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a safe service.
4. The app, when it launches
When the app goes live, it will hold the family information you choose to add — your shared calendar, messages, expenses and your children's records. That data is yours: it's shared only with the co-parent and the people you invite, you can export all of it for free at any time, and we will never sell it. We'll expand this section with the full detail before the app launches.
5. Who we share it with
We don't sell your data and we don't share it for advertising. We use a small number of trusted providers (“processors”) to run the service:
- Form handling — our early-access form is processed by a form provider (Web3Forms) and the result is delivered to our inbox.
- Email — routed and delivered through Cloudflare Email Routing.
- Hosting — the website is hosted on Vercel.
Each only processes your data to provide their service to us, under their own data-protection terms. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
6. Where your data is processed
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as UK-approved transfer mechanisms) so your data keeps an equivalent level of protection.
7. How long we keep it
We keep early-access emails only as long as we need them to run the list — until you unsubscribe, or until we contact you at launch and a reasonable period afterwards — and then we delete them. You can ask us to remove you at any time.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email hello@parentglow.co.uk and we'll respond within the legal timeframe.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk — though we'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.
9. Cookies
The website uses only the essential cookies needed for it to work and stay secure. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
10. Children
ParentGlow is a service for parents and carers, who are adults. It is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data directly from them.
11. Changes to this policy
As ParentGlow grows — especially when the app launches — we'll update this policy and change the “last updated” date above. Significant changes will be made clear.
