Why most co-parenting apps cost double.
Most co-parenting apps come from the US, where the model is one subscription per parent. Each parent needs an account, so each parent pays — and a separated family pays twice for the crime of living in two homes.
So the honest calculation is: price × number of parents who pay × 12 months. Two of the five apps below charge once per family; the other three charge each parent separately. That single fact moves apps up and down the ranking more than any headline monthly price.

The big free tiers collapsed in 2026 — AppClose's ended in January, TalkingParents' app went paid on 30 March. Both now offer trials and fee waivers for hardship and domestic-abuse survivors, which deserve saying out loud.
